Middle/High School ELA Teacher (Part-Time)
OVERVIEW
We are seeking a passionate, student-centered ELA Teacher to lead engaging middle and high school English Language Arts classes. You’ll be teaching two 60-minute classes each Tuesday and Thursday. We’ll be using the FishTank Learning ELA curriculum as a foundation, which features rigorous, standards-aligned units built around compelling texts and writing tasks. We're excited for you to bring your voice and creativity to how the lessons come to life.
RESPONSIBILITIES

Facilitate interactive, culturally relevant ELA instruction focused on reading, writing, and discussion

Integrate texts that reflect diverse perspectives and voices, particularly those of BIPOC authors

Create an inclusive space where all students feel valued and challenged

Provide meaningful feedback on written work and guide students in developing communication and analytical skills

Collaborate with pod facilitators to align on student support and goals

Assign weekly homework and help students stay accountable for independent work
QUALIFICATIONS

Experience teaching ELA, ideally in a middle/high school or homeschool setting

Knowledge of literature, writing instruction, and culturally responsive teaching practices

Commitment to secular, inclusive education

Middle/High School SCIENCE Teacher (Part-Time)
OVERVIEW
We’re looking for a dynamic Science Teacher to lead two in-person classes—one for middle school and one for high school students. You'll bring curiosity to life through engaging, culturally relevant science instruction that empowers learners to explore the world around them. We are planning to use the OpenSciEd curriculum, a high-quality, NGSS-aligned resource that supports inquiry-driven science learning. We welcome your ideas and adaptations to meet student needs.
RESPONSIBILITIES

QUALIFICATIONS

Teaching experience in middle or high school science (biology, physics, chemistry, etc.)

Familiarity with or openness to OpenSciEd and NGSS-aligned instruction

Passion for student-centered, hands-on learning

Strong commitment to inclusivity, accessibility, and cultural responsiveness in education
