Our Vision Board Party & some tips to host your own

Looking for a creative and inspiring way to bring a group of children together? Consider hosting a vision board party meetup! Not only is it a fun way to encourage kids to express themselves and focus on their goals, but it can also inspire them to think outside the box and explore their creativity.

For the Culture recently hosted a Vision Board party at Landa Library in San Antonio, and it was a huge success! Ms. Tempie, started the meetup by talking about the power of our minds. She gave each of the students a washer on a string and asked them to use their thoughts to change the direction the washer was swaying. Watching the washers change direction as we focused our thoughts showed us how powerful our minds can be. This was a reminder that we should always stay positive and aware of our own mental power. She encouraged us to regularly say to ourselves, "Things are working out for me."

After this exercise, it was time to get to work on the vision boards. The students had a blast cutting out pictures and words from magazines to create a visual representation of their future goals. Some students focused on academic goals, while others created boards around their personal interests and hobbies.

By the end of the meetup, everyone had a beautiful and inspiring board to take home with them. The students were excited to have a physical reminder of their goals and dreams, and the event was a great way for them to come together and support one another.

Here are some tips for hosting your own Vision Board Party Meetup for Children:

1. Choose a location with plenty of table space Make sure you have enough space to accommodate all the children and their supplies. Set up tables and chairs, and designate a specific work area for each child to create their vision board

2. Explain the project clearly to the children Before the kids dive into creating their vision boards, take some time to talk to them about the power of visualization and setting goals. Explain how a vision board can help them clarify their dreams and aspirations, and encourage them to think big and be bold. Encourage them to be as creative and imaginative as possible, and let them know that there are no wrong answers or ideas.

3. Provide the Materials

To ensure a successful vision board party, make sure you have all the materials the kids will need to create their boards. This includes a large piece of paper or poster board, scissors, glue, markers, stickers, magazines and any other decorations you think will be appropriate.

4. Encourage Collaboration

Vision board parties are a great way to encourage collaboration and teamwork. Encourage the kids to work together, share their ideas, and help each other out. You can also provide an opportunity for the kids to present their vision boards to the group and talk about what inspired them.

5. Keep it Positive

It's important to keep the energy positive and upbeat throughout the event. Encourage the kids to stay focused on their goals and support each other as they work on their vision boards. You can also provide positive affirmations or quotes to inspire the kids and keep them motivated.
