Nerf Battle

Updated: Oct 18, 2022

We were so happy to finally have 80-degree weather so that we could get outside and enjoy the sun with friends. We couldn’t think of a better way to strengthen our kids' communication, problem-solving, and strategy-building skills than hosting a Nerf battle.

A Nerf battle is an event that features a variety of shoot-out game options for individual or team competitions. Before the Nerf war could begin, the kids had to prepare by running through an obstacle course that we created with a variety of materials including pool noodles to test their agility. The kids had to run through agility rings, zig zag through barrels, an army crawl through arches, jump hurdles, and shoot through rings to complete the course.

After the obstacle course, the battle was set to begin! The first round was a free-for-all with kids getting a lay of the land before the major battle began for round two when the parents joined in on the fun. Seven kids against four adults made for an intense battle that saw the kids strategizing to beat their parents. Must to the kids shock the parents were up to the challenge and alot more agile than they first expected. After two additional rounds kids and parents alike were all played out and ready for some much needed refreshments. Overall it was a great day of critical thinking, strategy and fun for all.
