About Us
For the Culture Homeschool was founded by parents who have a vision for what is possible in their children's education. We have been searching for a San Antonio homeschool community for our children to collaborate on projects, build relationships, and learn with kids who look like them. When we couldn't find what we were looking for, we decided to create it.
We began as a small cottage co-op in 2022, with just 4 families meeting weekly for classes. By Spring 2025, we’ve grown to serve 25 families in our co-op and over 100 families in our activity group. Our journey reflects the power of community, connection, and a shared vision for providing culturally rich, engaging educational experiences.
Our dream is to see spaces like this all over the country where children have freedom to ask questions, thrive in their learning and are celebrated for who they are.

What Makes Us Different :
We’re rewriting the narrative of education, creating a vibrant, inclusive community. Through rich cultural experiences, dynamic learning opportunities, and a whole lot of joy, we empower our kids to dream boldly, learn deeply, and connect authentically. We’re not just a homeschool group—we’re a movement, making education accessible, exciting, and unapologetically rooted in culture. Every class we offer prioritizes culture, collaboration, creativity, and critical thinking, ensuring our students grow into confident, compassionate, and capable leaders.
Culture
Our programs are designed with intention, putting the rich and diverse traditions, and histories of Black, Brown, & Indigenous communities at the forefront.
Collaboration
Both children and parents take an active role in learning and building our community. We create rich social and learning opportunities for our children.
Creativity
Creativity is a process. The decisions students make as they paint, design and write develop their imaginations, originality, productivity and problem-solving abilities.
Critical Thinking
We are intentional about encouraging our students to explore, ask questions, test their theories, and think about changes they could make or things they could do differently.

Our Impact
We believe that education is about more than just academics-it’s about creating meaningful experiences, fostering connections, and building confidence in our students and families. Since our humble beginnings in 2022, we’ve achieved so much together. Each milestone is a reflection of our commitment to empowering secular homeschool families and redefining what a homeschool community can be.
Through collaboration, creativity, and a shared vision, we’ve turned ideas into impactful programs and events that bring our mission to life. From nurturing young entrepreneurs to curating enriching field trips, our journey has been nothing short of extraordinary. Here are just a few highlights of what we’ve accomplished together:
Milestones We Are Proud Of:
A Year of Exploration
- We offered over 60 field trips and meetups in 2024, including art classes, museum and college tours, park days, and cultural events. We believe learning happens everywhere!
Enriching Co-op
-
Our weekly co-op has grown to 25 families and 50 students. Our classes are diverse and engaging, offering students everything from Roller Coaster Science and dissections to book studies and cultural art. We explore important topics like social justice, financial literacy, and even cooking!
Entrepreneurial Spirit
- In 2024, we hosted two successful Youth Entrepreneur Pop-Up Markets featuring 25+ kid vendors each, giving our students hands-on business experience and the chance to showcase their creativity and skills.

Supporting the Whole Family
Making Homeschooling Accessible
- Our Spring Fling and Halloween dances brought students and families together to create lasting memories and foster friendships.
- Parents aren’t left out! We’ve hosted parent’s nights out, brunches, and events to build relationships and provide support for homeschooling parents.
- We are proud to make homeschooling accessible to all families, regardless of financial means. Many of our events are free, and we work hard to ensure our field trips offer discounted admission for our group, making educational experiences available to everyone. We believe that learning should be an opportunity for all, and we strive to break down barriers to homeschooling.
It is easier to build strong children, than to repair broken men.

Our Leadership
We are parents who are passionate about homeschooling and excited to share our collective experiences. We believe that homeschooling has the power to transform education for our children.
Our group is a mix of experienced homeschoolers and those who are new to the game, but what brings us all together is our desire to create amazing learning opportunities for our kids. We're all about pushing their academic development, giving them unforgettable experiences, and making sure they're culturally aware and sensitive to the world around them.
